Digital Nazarene

A Nazarene Wrestling with Digitally Expressing the Great Commission

About

Nazarene Digital

There are a lot of sites—great ones, too—about the digital transformation of church. However, each denomination and tradition has its own practical differences. The intent of Nazarene Digital is not to be the end all for the digital transformation, but a launching point with the theology, traditions, and practices of the Church of the Nazarene in mind, while also knowing that even in my tradition, I am one small voice.

Ian Kirk

Currently Co-Lead Pastor at Enumclaw Nazarene Church, Ian is looking to integrate digital into a long-established church, and how digital might change how ENC can impact the community it’s planted in. Formerly the Online Campus Pastor at Generations Community Church, Ian stribed understand exactly what that meant.

Certain Christian traditions have no issues with digital ministry, especially church online, while others rarely can due to their theological traditions. The Church of the Nazarene is between these two extremes, but is still learning and struggling with what it means exactly for Christians, the denomination, and the local church body.
